JOURNAL #1: Getting Started
"The reason that I wanted to pursue this project is because it incorporates my three passions. This includes public speaking, law and politics, and writing. I need to consider another component that I can add to my project that incorporates my three interests. This has been very difficult for me and I feel like I am at a roadblock. I have been reaching out to local officials and lawyers to try and find an issue that I can take on as my senior project, but I have not been successful."
JOURNAL #2: Fieldwork
"I have decided to do a “Dress for Success” Drive in order to help with socioeconomic discrimination in the courts system. This has also given me the opportunity to work with a public defense attorney named Shannon Hinegardner, and she has been an amazing person to work with. All of the clothes that I collect will go to her office and her clients, so that they can wear them to court and look professional."
